Fully Beaded Sioux Tie Sinew Sewn OldThis is a turn fo the century c. 1890 fully beaded tie with rawhide insert till ni tact. The bead colors are all 19th century beads and the netire piece is sewn with sinew on native tanned hide. The tie measures 12 inches by 2 1/2 inches. The design elements are isoux and are masterfully done. The main reds are the older dark rde with white centers, along with dk. Bleu and white. At the top is a translucent rose, clear beads with light oclored centers. The designs are just stunning and in perfect proportion ot the piece. These were used in dancing ceremonies as well as formal dress, btu i have not seen one this age or in this excellent condition. Guaranteed sa described. There is no erserve for the piece.
